Short Fleece Alpaca Show, Saturday 16th March 2019

Warren Districts Agricultural Society – Manjimup Show Saturday 16th March 2019

A few updates: -

The issue of security on the Friday night has been raised with the Agricultural Secretary. With trade people setting all day Friday and possibly into the night, it is not feasible to have our site patrolling by security. There will be exhibitors camped right next to the penning area Friday night, so we consider there will be adequate security due to the proximity of people and animals.

Penning is very substantial and is even lockable, So, if you wish to bring a padlock you can have added security. Alternatively, you can leave your animals in you floats overnight.

We are budgeting on achieving between 70 and 90 animals nominated, and even if we exceed this, we have substantial sheep penning at our disposal so there will be adequate penning available.

Would recommend exhibitors bring some large cable ties just in case your water and feed troughs do not fit over the rails of the penning.

The Warren Districts Agricultural Society have been very busy ensuring that this show is going to be a big show, and with what they have organized it is not going to be a tin pot show.

I urge all exhibitors to get on board with this new short fleeced show. It will be disappointing if we only turn up with a small contingency of animals.

The region wanted more shows, so here is your opportunity to show case your animals to a virtually untouched market in the Manjimup area.

Nominations close on Friday the 1st of March so get your Suri and Huacaya nominations in on the new e Alpaca system.

There is accommodation available at the Manjimup Gateway Hotel/Motel, or if you wish, there is free camping next to the penning area.

We anticipate judging will finish around 4.00pm. Departure can commence after this time.

Membership and passes will be posted out by the Ag Society.

The show grounds are easy to find. Either Google it or follow the signs.

Let’s make this a great spectacle.
